Assalamualaikum wbt
Today I went to the Youth Festival in Presint 4, Putrajaya with my friend Jaido, my sister and my maid. To be honest, I didn't enjoy my day there. We were there for about 4 hours from 11 am to 3 pm. Why didn't I enjoy? Well, I wasn't looking forward to it in the first place so I had no clue of what was going on and what events were there. I didn't have any interest at all. I just went there because I was asked out to go there. So I just followed and maybe I can see what's really going on there.
What happened to me there was, I had a big headache plus the heat and sun was just too hot for me. I can't stand the heat. This was no good for me. How could you enjoy anything if the weather is just not right? I would rather walk all day in cool breezy places than walk here. My first priority is WEATHER. Without good weather, I rather not go out of my house. haha.
The place of the event was so huge. There were 4 zones. The place didn't look so inviting or friendly. I guess this event is not good in some parts like loud music and there weren't many people. I observed the people there, they don't seem to blend well with the event. Well I could be wrong as it was my first impression. The problem was, I was clueless. It seemed like nothing was happening there.
First of all we saw motorsports going extreme on the hilly land of soil. Dust was in the air. We had to cover our nose and walk on to the other zones. We went to the Indian youth department. There, we were put on free henna on our hands. I liked this. haha. I chatted with the girl putting henna on my hand. She had studied degree in masscomm in UPM and now she's working at Notthinham University as an event organizer if I'm not mistaken. She said she took journalism and said it was really good and the lecturers there were great. Suddenly I was interested and thought maybe I could study in UPM for a change. Who knows.
Next, we walked along the booths and I participated in a game by Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia and won a notebook. The game was easy. All you have to do was answer a mathematical question and if you get it right, you have to throw the dice and if you get a big number, you get a big prize.
Another place I participated was the escape room. This was interesting. Me, Jaido, rose and 3 other people were made into a group and we waited for our turn to go in a room to solve the puzzles. The game was to figure out how to unlock two boxes and lastly figure out which wire to cut to stop the bomb. I figured the first part and we managed to open the first box. But for the second box, I was really dizzy, I couldn't understand a thing how to solve this puzzle.
So I asked the person in charge to help us with this. He did help us but unfortunately time was running out and my sister was trying to unlock the box but failed as she didn't realize she had clicked the wrong number. So we lost this game. It was such a pity. We could have won. The embarrassing part was, we were to take a group photo holding a board that read LOSERS. haha. Everyone was watching and laughing at us. Omg. Facepalm.
So yeah that was it.
My advise is do not go to these places if:
1) The weather is hot.
2)You have no clue what's there.
3) Does not benefit you.
4) You have a headache. haha
I actually regretted for not doing some research about the festival in the first place before it had even started the first day. I could have planned well and it would have been more enjoyable by then. I could have prepared of where to go, what to see, and what to do. Not to forget, where to park because parking far would be so exhausting for walking to and from the place of the event. So the conclusion is to be prepared.
But still, I don't really like to go to these kind of places. It makes me feel not at peace. I feel depressed sometimes. I'd rather go to the Masjid or programs that empower you. It would be the best place for youth! haha. That's all from me. Hope you enjoyed reading. Do leave a comment if there is anything you want to say. Do follow my blog. Thanks.
